Twitter’s prototype app, Twitter, has been testing new ways to fire up the display conversation board through threaded replies and other visual cues. With the implementation of the new feature, the replies will be connected to the original tweeter and other in a thread by way of grey lines.
Since the prototype arrived in March, the twitter app was focused on how to thread conversations, sometimes including different ways of labeling the posters in a thread. As of now, the person with the original post will get a little microphone icon to indicate that it is the original poster. Additionally, it is also testing a way to view the tweet details in a card-style layout you can activate with a tap.
The excitement over Twitter’s exclusive invite-only twttr died down as Twitter failed to bring about huge changes or introduce new specifications and introduced only minor tweaks to threads.
After Sara Haider stepped down as the head of the design of Conversations on Twitter, Suzanne Xie stepped in to lead Conversations. As the head of design, she had confirmed that the main app Twitter would soon get the best parts of the prototype app, twitter.
The work seems to be underway as the famous Twitter persona Jane Manchun spotted the conversation tree layout on Twitter.
Reportedly, the same feature also had the ability to focus on a specific tweet, even from a permalink. Again, this feature is similar to twitter’s card-style layout.
Wong’s discovery has been backed up by Twitter, and the officials confirmed that the thread layout and the conversation tree layout is part of Suzanne Xie’s team’s plans and efforts to bring the agreeable features of twitter to the main Twitter app.
The company will use Twitter in the future and will experiment with other features in this app to bring the best of the new features to the main app.
