ZTE Corporation, the world’s largest provider of telecommunication and mobile Internet technology solutions for organizations and consumers has unveiled the latest commercial development in the end-to-end 5G technology at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019, which has kicked off starting today i.e. June 26.
At this event, ZTE focuses on the principles of “Create a 5G network with 4 basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division” as well as presenting the latest achievements. The company as well showed 5G devices for end-to-end 5G solutions, 5G & 4G usage covering all situations, commercial 5G deployment, intelligent systems, AI networks, traditional networks on-demand, an open 5G ecosystem, and industry-leading applications. ZTE wants to send messages around the world that it is ready for full commercial use in the end-to-end 5G era.
To integrate the network architecture into a single simple network, ZTE has launched the IT BBU platform that is compatible with all standards. It also has the extra large capacity by supporting multi-mode network integration and long-term changes with the simplest baseband.
ZTE also launched the first commercial 5G Common Core in the industry which supports full network integration and network access, whether it is 2/3/4/5G/fixed, 3GPP R15 SA and NSA, and can save 40% of investment budget for telecom service providers.
The company has built a simple and flexible data transmission network. The network layer has been simplified with an all-in-one integrated product, which has modified the traditional protocol architecture from 6 layers to 4 layers to start the service quickly. It also offers various automation technologies with networks to quickly find faulty positions by the 3-in-1 chip developed by the company, combining FlexE, NP (Network Processor) and SA (Switching Access) together to reduce the power consumption of the device Over 40% per Gbit.
At MWC 2019, ZTE has also launched its 8K TV Box in China. It is reported that ZTE’s 8K big video intelligent set-top box adopts 12nm chip technology, equipped with a powerful quad-core 64-bit processor, clocked at up to 2.0GHz, supports 8K video decoding, and has a resolution of 4 times 4K, maximizing the real-world scene. Bringing a cinematic sense of presence and integration, it’s just like being there.
At the same time, it supports extremely strong AI computing performance, realizes low-power voice wake-up, and allows voice remote control to watch TV at any time, providing users with intelligent voice and direct listening to the TV. In addition, the set-top box also supports multi-channel video decoding and viewing, providing users with a multi-channel, multi-view large video extreme experience.
