A new leak from sources in China this morning revealed some of the possible specifications of Xiaomi Mi 9. The first thing to highlight is that the new information ends up reaffirming some of the rumors that were previously disclosed.
So, by all new information, the Xiaomi Mi 9 really could launch in the market with three cameras on its rear. According to Chinese sources, it is almost certain that it should be launched with the main sensor of 48 MP (Sony IMX586), the secondary lens of 12 MP and a third 3D TOF camera.
The leak also reveals that the device could have a massive 6.4-inch display with FHD+ resolution, the screen-to-body ratio at 19:9, and a water-drop like a notch setup at the top of the display to accommodate the 24-MP front camera. Sources claim that it will have a frontal appearance very similar to what we saw in the OnePlus 6T, the rear could have the resemblance to Huawei P20 Pro.
The new Xiaomi Mi 9 will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor which should work in conjunction with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, although the device could have a special edition version with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
To close the top-of-the-line set, Xiaomi could also include the under-the-screen digital fingerprint sensor, 5G support, 3,500 mAh battery with a quick charge technology at 32W and Android 9.0 Pie running under the Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 10 interface.
For now, Xiaomi has not yet officially manifested on the new device info. But, sources expect that the new Xiaomi Mi 9 will be presented during MWC 2019, and it should arrive on the market later in March.
The sale prices could start at 2,999 yuan (RS. 30,000 or $430). However, the new everything leaked should still be taken as just another market rumor until Xiaomi speaks on the subject.
