Xiaomi is coming up with a virtual launch of its new POCO M2 Pro that has got an inbuilt side mounted finger scanner in its system along with a 33W super-fast charging feature. These days, many companies have substituted a separate mounting of a fingerprint scanner. New technologies enable them to embed this inbuilt scanner in two ways:
Optical: The optical in-built fingerprint scanners project to light. The user has to press the finger on the mobile screen over the lighted scanner, and the phone unlocks itself.
Ultrasonic: usually ejects an ultrasonic sound wave once the user touches the scanner and records the authentic frequency to unlock the phone.
Xiaomi preferably has adopted a modified and ultra-cool side-mounted fingerprint scanner in their latest POCO M2 with model number M2003J6CI. The purpose is to retrace back to the traditional yet faster system of scanning to avoid any troubleshooting.
The Xiaomi POCO M2 Pro runs on Android 10 (Q) operating system and is powered by an Octa-core 2.3 GHz processor. On the camera part, POCO M2 Pro is going to have 64+8+5+2 MP triple camera setup with features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus. It is backed by a 5020 mAh battery.
Usually, the inbuilt finger scanners are not only slower than the traditional system but often tend to misread the fingerprint due to dirt accumulation on the screen. It doesn’t merely decline the process but also bears a high chance of locking the phone automatically after multiple failed attempts from its authentic user.
POCO M2 not only tries to solve this problem by modifying the traditional system but also the tiny side-mounted scanning section keeps the back of the phone only for the rear cameras making it uber-cool for their tech-savvy customers.
The model comes with other features like the Android 10 operating system, 4GB RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage along with a Snapdragon 720G processor. The USPs of the POCO M2 Pro model include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
