Xiaomi Makes the Global Availability of Its New Pocophone F1 in 65 countries

Xiaomi’s new Poco sub-brand; Pocophone F1, was launched in India this week, ahead of global launches in Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Paris next week. The Pocophone F1 has definitely turned the heads of fans with its number of highlighting features which go on sale on various global markets, counting 65 countries in total.

The brand’s highlight is that it bears the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, while also sporting the dual rear camera design of the company’s other flagships at a staggeringly low starting price of Rs. 20,999. It has been launched in 3 GB RAM/ storage capacities, with the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage version being the base model, while the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model is priced at Rs. 23,999, and the 8GB/ 256GB storage variant priced at Rs. 28,999. These three Poco F1 models are accessible in three color options; Graphite Black, Steel Blue, and Rosso Red.

Moving on to optics, the POCOPHONE F1 features a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear with AI scene detection and an AI-powered Portrait Mode to help users capture portrait shots with a DSLR-like background blur effect. The front-facing camera is a 20 MP resolution unit with IR Face Unlock support. There’s also an Armoured Edition that features ‘real Kevlar’ on the back panel and priced at Rs. 29,999.

The novelty also comes with stereo speakers featuring Dirac HD Sound, dual smart PA, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of software, the smartphone will ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 out of the box. The Android 9 Pie update for the F1 is expected to be rolled out before the end of the year.

The POCOPHONE F1 will go on sale in various countries across Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Xiaomi has priced the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the smartphone in Europe at 329 euros (Rs.26, 800 approx.), while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will cost 369 euros (Rs.30, 000 approx.).

In Indonesia, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 4,499,000 IDR (Rs.21, 500 approx.), while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 4,999,000 IDR (Rs.23, 900 approx.). The Armored Edition with the same 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage is priced at 5,199,000 IDR (Rs.24, 900 approx.).

Xiaomi is only launching the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant in Singapore, where the smartphone is priced at $449. And in Malaysia, the POCOPHONE F1 has been priced at RM1, 237 (Rs.21, 100 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and RM1, 428 (Rs.24, 400 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

While Pocophone F1 is globally available in only one or two memory configurations, in India, it has launched in three memory configurations on the 22nd of August.
