Xiaomi officially launched its latest Mi 11 smartphone in China without making much noise. In China, it comes at the price of CNY 3,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The other variant of the same model, the 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal memory is priced at CNY 4,299.
One thing that should be pointed out from the outset is that the display of the smartphone takes the cake. The Mi 11 features a 6.81-inch OLED screen that supports QHD+ resolution, that is 32000 x 1440 pixel. Although the appeal of the smartphone is also that it is the first smartphone from Xiaomi that comes with the Snapdragon 888, the curved design of the display is also the talk of the town. The smartphone features a four curved design – a curved display and a curved back. It makes it more comfortable to hold the phone. The display offers a refresh rate of 120Hz.
For cameras, it comes with a 108-megapixel main camera (f/1.85, 1/1.33 inch sensor size, 0.8-micron pixels, OIS) that is next to a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera (f/2.4, 123 degrees), and a 5-megapixel telephoto macro sensor (f/2.4).
The smartphone runs on a 4600mAh battery and offers the Mi Charge Turbo system. For this device only, Xiaomi had announced that one batch of the Mi 11 bundles will come without the charger inside, whereas the other half will contain the charger. The buyers have the option of purchasing either one of the smartphones for the exact same price.
The no-charger inside the box is definitely a move picked up from Apple’s latest stint where the latest iPhone 12 does not offer the charger with every box. But Xiaomi’s situation is different in that as they are presenting the users with a choice of either buying or not buying the charger-less smartphones. The device also offers reverse wireless charging at 10W speeds.
